1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to provide the TradeQuest service:

• Account information: your name or business name, email address, and trade category, provided when you create an account.
• App progress data: your XP, level, completed quests, repeatable quest history, and streak count.
• Usage data: the date and time of your last activity, used to calculate your streak.

We do not collect location data, payment card details (payments are handled entirely by Apple), contacts, photos, or any sensitive personal information.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

• Create and manage your TradeQuest account
• Sync your quest progress and XP across devices
• Calculate and display your level, streak, and achievements
• Provide customer support if you contact us

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account and progress data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with servers located in the EU West (London) region. Supabase is compliant with industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

Access to your data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies, meaning only your authenticated account can read or write your own data.

Your app session is stored securely on your device using Apple's encrypted Keychain via Expo SecureStore.

5. Third-Party Services

TradeQuest uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase (supabase.com) — database and authentication. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — payment processing for the app purchase. Apple Privacy Policy

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, advertising networks, or any other tracking services.

6. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

As a user based in the United Kingdom or European Union, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your account and all associated data.
• Right to data portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to object — you can object to how we process your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@toolbeltsoftware.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated data within 30 days. Anonymised, non-identifiable aggregate statistics (e.g. total number of app users) may be retained indefinitely.

8. Children's Privacy

TradeQuest is intended for use by tradespeople and business owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Purchases and Payments

TradeQuest is a paid app purchased through the Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or process any payment card information. For refund requests, please use Apple's standard refund process via reportaproblem.apple.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified via an in-app message. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
